I finally got my latest acquision Crosman 110 put back together with the
help of Rick's seal kit (intake, exhaust, oring, piston cup...that's
it).
Definitely the gun is no powerhouse nor did I "tune" it to have better.
I know the piston cup can be adjusted as well as some internal valve
mods. But I feel that I just
wanted to revive this '50's vintage gun. Though I have not chronoed it,
just curious as to what the general performance spec. should be the
standard.
I guess that the gun should output somewhere around 9 ft-lbs or so. I'll
chrono it and give you guys the low-down.
This is an interesting airgun, extremely simple made pretty good. The
paint is about 85% or so and some minor scratches on the thin stock. I
personally rate this gun
to be about 85% overall in condition. The gun very light and is
extremely easy to pump. Trigger is actually pretty nice (light and well
broken in). I do noticed that this
gun was serviced before as I see peen marks on the lever (no slop on the
linkage). S/N is 280956 which is a close producton number of my Co2
counter part: 114
(S/N247572).
Definitely this pellet rifle was for youths than adults. The design of
the 110 was changed over in end of 1952 to the model 120...and they look
pretty similar except
for the front sight. The valve mechanism remained the same.
