EL>  That's strange.  My U1496E+ has always been superb at bad lines.

 Ahh!  Couple that with my bad lines and they make a good test site.
 Recently I get retrains instead of a flashing Signal Quality light.
 Sometimes I even get a good connect.  Seems they changed to v34 modems
 though, so I gotta start my tests all over :-(.  The 1.11 ROMs seem
 to be a bit better though.
