Hi Pat,
PK> Well, my week has been hectic. We leave for Florida for vacation
PK> tomorrow and wouldn't you know it? Everyone here is sick! Sure hope
Hopefully by the time yo see this, everyone is doing better. Nothing
like starting a vacation with everybody sick. I suppose it would be
better at the end tha the beginning however.
PK> different fabrics for this one. A white on white for the
PK> light pink print. Their bedroom is done in pinks and blues. I have
PK> all of the dark blue blocks done and all pieces for the others are cut
Sounds pretty. My aunt is making Rachel a quilt for a wedding present;
as I recall, she said it's a log cabin in shades of blue. When she
called about a month ago, she had to quilt just one more square and the
borders. Since she's retired (and single), she's probably got all of
that done now.
PK> So, what is everyone else up to?
In a word, weddings! We went to a friend's wedding over the week end.
She's the last child and only daughter so her dad was getting rather
emotional in the days before. It looked like he held up pretty well
though on the big day.
Rachel's wedding is on the 28th of this month. This week I plan to
finish the dresses except for maybe a couple of hems, her's and David's
sister's dress. She won't get here until the Wed. before a Saturday
wedding and I don't want to sent it to her. We'll also get up to Tucson
to get the netting for the veil and put that together. After it's all
over, the sewing machine and serger go in for a well deserved checkup;
this is the second big project they've done in less than a year.
It was interesting to see the colors Codi picked for her wedding, a deep
green and deep pink. The pink is a bit darker than the shade we picked;
Rachel is having a dusty pink and dusty blue, almost grey. I'd been
approached about working on the dresses for Codi's wedding but declined
with having to do for Rachel.
Well, take care, enjoy your trip.
Catch you later,
Ruth
