I was talking to Tom Jennings the other day and I thought I'd share what he had to say about the FTSC. It is by no means anything official I guess, but it does is reflect his view. [start quote] The job of the FTSC is only slightly ambiguous. The FTS docs simply define FidoNet compatibility -- not the state of the art. If your program implements FSC001, and 004 and all that, *then* it is "FidoNet compatible". That's all their job is! No less, and certainly no more. If developers want to add features, they should do so, they dont need permission... FidoNet is I think declining in size finally -- the only real measure -- simply because the internet is so easy to get connected to. All things change!
