Anyway, a natural control for ants is, to take a shovel of one ant
hill and trade it with a shovel of another any hill... they go to war
with one another... and take care of themselves...
We've used this control with effectiveness, but it does take some
staying on top (...ouch!... ) of the problem, so to speak. It doesn't
harm the environment, tho :)
Ants also don't like Tansy flowers, so you can make a trail of
Tansy... but it is harmful to livestock, so it isn't advisable to plant
it in a farm type setting, or where it can possibly seed into such an
area (it volunteers freely... even from teh root system... Mine is
planted in a 5gallon bucket, planted in the ground... and I still have
to be ruthless with it every year! :)
