Well dosemu is no problem except for the previously mentioned "tips", only 
thing that "might" bite a person is fossil support, and currently that is 
working well enough. Otherwise, it is equivalent to running a straight DOS 
system, with the possibility that an unknown, just might get up and bite you.

Experience with OS/2, shows that no problems should be expected, much the same 
as windows.

Those should all work in dosemu, I use edit, as I don't have any of those. 
Works well.

Well, if you have a fairy, you might not get killed either, without the 
protection of Conan, might save you some money, might not ...

Never seen a hag event in 4.06, and not had any crashes with jennie events 
either. No idea, will see if changing settings somewhere does notchange 
things, ie. doubling ems memory etc available to dosemu.

A memory hog you say, might try playing with the memory settings ...
