about "Rose hips?"
Yes Jim, I'm still alive and reading in this and other echo's. Have been very
busy. Have still some netmails to reply to you and that will be done in the
next week, promised!
JV> I guess it's a "fruit"?
JV> I know I've seen rose hips in some vitamin C pills.
Indeed you're right, it is a fruit!
Over here you can easely find rose hips tea, which is a delicious drink, for
me at least. Rose hips are very richt in vitamin C.
For the tea, it is not hips of the normal roses that are used but the ones
from a wild rose, growing here mostly as a haye. It has single roses in pale
pink color.
JV> It's funny, how nature can make such vivid colors out of dirt.
JV> The bush I was just messing with, has a dark red rose. It was
JV> here when I moved in. The ones I planted are that tangerine
JV> color that they sell in impatiens.
Yes nature can make very nice colored plants. The rose hips that are used
for the tea are really bright orange/red.
Can advise you to tase the tea of it when you have the possibility.
