| subject: | Nodelist speed fields & flags |
My opinion is that the baud rate entry in the nodelist is a better system for determining speed etc than the baud rate. The baud rate can instantly be used to make time estimates like Portal of Power does. And for when people read nodelists (I do it often to find out things about nodes) I don't know what a HST or a V22T is, but I know what 9600 and 2400 are instantly. What's the problem with having more than 12 definitions? If you're developing a v8 style nodelist, go for it. :) --- Renegade v96-143a* Origin: Toontown - the most fun you can have sober (3:774/950) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/99 270/101 620/243 711/413 430 934 712/311 407 505 506 517 SEEN-BY: 712/623 624 841 713/317 800/1 @PATH: 774/950 605 270/104 101 712/624 711/934 |
