-=> Quoting Darin McBride to Phil Crown <=-
DM> I tried Borland 1.5 for OS/2 for about 30 minutes. That's what
DM> convinced me of going to Watcom.
I found and installed Borland's stack probe fix patch and my problems
are gone, so I'm sticking with Borland as long as I can work around the
bugs.
PC> So I'm considering Watcom as my compiler now.
DM> If you're a student, it's nice and cheap. It's also, as far as
DM> compiling text mode goes anyway, relatively quick on the compile. It
DM> also lacks a decent editor, and finding a syntax-hilighting editor is
DM> a problem - EPM 6.x, amongst very few others, can do this. The only
DM> reason I keep Borland on my HD? PRINTING in colour. ;-)
If you're doing PM apps, Borland's Resource Workshop is very nice for
creating dialogs too.
