=> The Windows lfnbk.exe (may be in the resource kit) is the tool
=> for you.  The "lfnbk: long file name backup/ restore
utility" not only
=> backs up all long filenames, but it removes them!
 
So, you are still lurkin' out there? I thought that I could sense (not much
left these days ;) your presence! We have actually tried lfnbk, but it
won't run apparently because we are only using the command prompt (no GUI).
