 MR> Hello all,

MR> I've been programming in BASIC, Pascal, and C for some time now. I'd
MR> like to move up to C++ and, specifically, OS/2 programming. However,
MR> I'm not sure which development package would be best for me.

MR> Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I started with EMX/GNU to write plain C text mode programs. EMX can
also do C++ and PM apps.

Best of all its free so it doesn't cost anything to get started.

The disadvantage is that there is no docs for the PM Win* and Gpi*
API's. If you're doing text mode, you don't need these API's anyway.

You can find all the files at the following URL. You don't need all of
them, get INSTALL.DOC first, and it will tell you which files you need
for what you want to do.
