Hi Dot!
-=> Quoting Dorothy Ferris to Julia Sidebottom <=-
DF> choose the block you want you choose one for the next one. I think
DF> that's bad because you may not like the choice the other person chose
DF> or the colors. This month it's a 6" 9 block with green, floral and
DF> yellow. Yuck! I don't think I'll make many I'd hate to win that one.
You'd be surprised, though. When you have a bunch of them it might
not be so bad, if the people use muted yellows. If they all go for
the gaudy ones, you might just put your eyeballs out of focus for a
while!
DF> Well I just thought I'd stay in touch. Plus I'm so bored I'm going
DF> nuts. I thank God for Fido and all the great friends here. One of
DF> these days Fido is going to get real busy again and we won't be able
DF> to keep up with all the craft chatter.
I'm sorry you are having such a rough time. Hope you're better now!
It's amazing what we will do to get to a computer when we get bored,
isn't it? hehehe! Wish I'd had this one after my surgery to remove
heel spurs off both heels at the same time, a number of years ago. I
nearly went off the deep end several times after that.
DF> ... Running Windows is better than washing them!
You have that right! I used to be a window cleaner! Hehehe, and I
am still not thrilled about cleaning my own. Besides, all the spots
and smudges are always on the OTHER side!
I have all these 5" quilt squares and want to start a biscuit quilt.
The problem is I've never finished the teddy bear 9-patch I started
first, and I want to finish it too, but needed a break from it. I
could do this biscuit quilt while sitting here in my recliner, and
on the plane (I'm going on a weekend trip in 2 weeks). Hmmm, maybe
I'll start it and see how it goes. You do the blocks one at a time
and stuff them individually, then sew them together. It makes each
one look really puffy, like a biscuit. Sounds and looks neat! And
there isn't much actual quilting involved, you just quilt an X in
the center of each one. It would make a great project for me and a
nice present for my Tom to curl up in, which he loves to do. :)
I think I'm going to go for it and see how it does.
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
