This story goes back many years, and I doubt that Lee knows anything about it
that hasn't been posted in fido echoes years ago. Except for what his
imagination has conjured up. And he even seems to have reversed the names.

As I recall, Jeff Snyder showed up in fido saying that he was returning after
years away from fidonet, and he posted some of his memories of the "old days."
Jeff even told Steve Asher that in 1993 he had created an echo that Steve
currently was moderating, and he asked for its return to him. When I looked
through some archives I saw that those were actually the memories and
activities of someone posting as "Bill Kochman." In fact, when I dug up a
biography of Jeff Snyder on his website, he admitted in it that in the past he
had used the fake name of "Bill Kochman." Jeff refused to talk about it. Lee
just cannot stop talking about it, although he keeps getting the facts wrong.
