FWIW,  there's a group that does a get-together not too far from here each
year around the beginning of september...

Not just trains,  but all sorts of steam-powered stuff.  The last time I
was there they even had an actual steam-driven sawmill in operation.  It
was pretty interesting to watch,  along with a lot of the other stuff
there.

It's a real shame that we've pretty much lost a lot of that technology and
know-how in this country any more.
