| subject: | Re: NT4 BDC to Windows 2003 |
From: John Beckett Confirming what Geo said: You cannot first upgrade an NT4 BDC to W2000 or W2003. If you try, the setup program will fail when it contacts the PDC to determine what type of operating system it is running. You could first promote (with Server Manager) the NT4 BDC to act as the PDC, then upgrade it. However, there is a quite a long and complex list of issues you are supposed to think about before doing anything. I have no idea about the Domino side of it. If the network is critical, you really should set up a test network, physically disconnected from your actual network, and run some long and tedious tests. John Richard B. wrote in message news:: > Here's the scenario: I currently run Domino on a Dell server, Windows > NT 4.0.
