Actually, I agree with you. About the only 10-code I have heard on 2M is
10-4, and that was said with a bit of a smirk. I see nothing wrong with
the 10-code, which was designed to get information accross quickly and
accurately. Don't quote me on this, but I suspect that it comes from the
fact that the CBers use (and abuse) it so much has turned the vast
majority of Hams off to it. I also use Business band as a dispatcher,
where the 10-code is used wherever possible, and it is at least as fast
and accurate as the Q-code, and a whole lot more flexable. But if I
were to allow myself to use it on the Ham bands, 2 things would happen:
1) I would get laughed off the repeater, and
2) In all probability, I would be the only one there who knew what I
was talking about.
