Yes, I //TOTALLY// agree. However :

 a) DevCon membership is AUD$600 or so here (~US$540).
 b) My employer in this context is very hard to convince.
 c) I can't afford it for myself.

The only place DevCon would REALLY save ME /personally/ time and effort is
in writing ring 0 stuff. The PM and OS/2 base APIs are reasonably well
documented with my compiler (Watcom C/C++ 10.6, but WHY STILL 2.1???? WHY
NO WARP KIT???? BAD MOVE POWERSOFT !!!!!!).
