wrong with discussing prog-rock MUSICIANS and the music they
make? What is wrong with this guy?

George is OK, he's just a bit eccentric, which most of us
are, though in different ways. You just have to learn how
to take him. Took me a while. In there somewhere is a
progger (hey, he's into Quartermass, so he's got taste).
It's just that the progger in him needs to assert itself
in his own way and at his own pace. My advice is wait and
see. If you don't like the particular game he's playing
at any particular time (e.g. devil's advocate) then sit
out that round and wait until he plays a new one more to
your liking. Trust me, there is very little ever new in
cyberspace, patterns repeat, we've been here before.

It's a little known fact that I started out on this echo
by lambasting the moderator for declaring XTC off topic.
Honest. (My reasoning was that Andy Partridge had
produced tracks for Peter Blegvad ex- Henry Cow/Slapp
Happy). And now, in the course of time, I have become a
moderator who would willingly declare for all the world
to see that XTC is off topic for this echo. Yin. Yang.
Everything is its opposite. Or, as Daevid Allen would put
it, "You are I, and I are George."

        :-)

                                Cheers,
                                Kenneth
