We are an integrated, dual-technology network. If you are on a BBS, you can
use our services. If you are on the Internet, you can use our services. The

                  Services offered by Global Scoutnet


1> Lots of Electronic Conferences

We offer lots of public forums for discussions about scouting, in the
following languages:
- English
- German
- Italian
- French
- Esperanto

All our forums are currently available as mailing lists (from
listserv{at}scoutnet.org, see http://www.scoutnet.org/mlist for more
information) and as BBS echomail areas. Whatever way you use to access
them, the contents are the same.
Some conferences are also available as newsgroups.


2> A file repository

Our files are stored on ftp.scoutnet.org and on our BBS.

Please take care that each BBS will also have non-scouting related file
areas. Also, on ftp.scoutnet.org, there are other directories not relevant
to scouting.


3> The mother of all scouting index-pages

See http://inter.scoutnet.org for the "InterNETional Scout Page",
a repository of all WWW links relevant to scouting. If your page isn't
listed, fill the form on that page and submit it!


4> A web-ring

Join webring.scoutnet.org; your page will gain in visibility


5> Internet Email addresses

Each BBS user will also have an Internet Email address, without the need to
pay anything to a provider. Such addresses are under the scoutnet.org
domain.


These are "Global" (that is international) services. Some
countries will also offer local services.
