Hi Steven,
We were talking about proposed changes to "The Pirates of the Caribbean"
when you made several comments that led to this interesting conclusion:
SA> ...if you let The Politically Correct get their way,
SA> nothing will be fun anymore.
That, of course, is your opinion. Everyone has different ideas
as to what constitutes "fun." The so-called "Politically Correct"
is a nebulous group to which YOU now belong for having told someone
that they MUST behave in a certain way, that is, they should NOT type
in ALL CAPS... because that is not POLITICALLY CORRECT behavior. :)
MaYbE I WIlL TYpe WoiDS anYWay I DArn WeLL FeEL LIke IT D00D. :-)
( I'm just TEASING, Steven. I hope you understand what I mean. )
Most of us have ideas about how we would run THE MAGIC KINGDOM
if we were IN CHARGE. Most of us have thought about UTOPIA.
However, one man's ceiling is another man's floor... or to put
it in another way... one man's heaven is another man's hell.
You recognized this when you said that "ideas" can be seen
as "right" by some people... and "wrong" by other people.
Let's compare "The Magic Kingdom" to a ride on a raft down a river.
You might say that "The Magic Kingdom" is divided into three parts.
One part is everything that is on the east bank of the river.
One part is everything that is on the west bank of the river.
One part is the long and winding river that runs down the middle
and completes a CIRCUIT all the way around the land.
You might stand on the east bank and say, "Ah!... This is Heaven!"
You might stand on the west bank and say, "No!... THIS is HEAVEN."
Someone rafting down the river might say, "Never get off the boat!" ;-)
Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily....
Life is but a dream.
Is the difference between "fun" and "no fun" just a matter of perspective?
