subject: There goes the Neighbourh

G'day Vicki,

VC> GG> As of yesterday, I am now a Permanent
 VC> GG> Resident of Australia. :-)
 VC>
VC> Damn, there goes the neighbourhood.

Bloody immigrants! ;-)

VC> GG> I will be home in a couple of weeks.
 VC>
VC> Will pick you up from the airport. Going to bring pressy's for us
 VC> here at home?

Yup... but just like I was cheap and ordered touristy books in
Australia for the people in US to see, I just ordered 3 of them for
you... 2 Michigan packages and one just for the area I'm from. :-)

Mind, these won't show the gangs, burnt out houses and other war-zone
sights but they should be kinda fun anyway.

VC> GG> That, and the woman whom I dealt with
 VC> GG> seemed a fair dinkum friendly
VC> GG> person and not what I'd imagined an
VC> GG> immigration official to be like at all.
 VC>
VC> Us Aussies are like that. Known for being laid-back and friendly.

Yair, but I thought immigration officials, by nature had to be a
different breed from the rest.

VC> GG> I'll have my Permanent Resident Visa
VC> GG> by Tuesday, and should be home
VC> GG> in the first or 2nd week of December,
 VC> GG> going from cold
VC> GG> to hot in a matter of hours.
 VC>
VC> First week. Will see if we can turn on some cold weather. Not
 VC> unknown in December.

2nd week - we changed it so it's not quite such a rush for me. And to
be cheap, since it saved $100US or more on my flight from Saginaw to
Atlanta.

 VC> GG> I'm coming HOME!!!!!
 VC>
VC> Then we can get on with the wedding. Oh I have all the plans in
VC> motion. You don't have to worry about a thing. I have it all
 VC> organised.

The wedding is cancelled. :-(

We can't afford it and since there were no problems with our defacto
spouse status, Rod reckons we can do without the added expense, and
this time I agree (that we can't afford it).

VC> Saw Rod yesterday and he said to say g'day.

I wish I could help, but my set up worked from the first
installation.

Cheers,
Gaelyne
