In a message dated 08-29-07, Joe Delahaye said to Phil Taylor: JD> > I know that Clarke no longer exist but I am wondering if this echo is > still active? Is version of Pcboard V15.0/10 has the Y2k bug been > fixed? Today, oct. 15th, this echo brought me messages dated back to aug. 28th. I have not seen any traffic in the time between those dates. JD>There was a patch posted in this echo to fix that bug, and some JD>others, many years ago. I suppose I may still have that around JD>someplace but it would be on a CD backup someplace. Perhaps somebody JD>else has it handy. You will have to get into the exe and change JD>things though. I did patch the various PCBOARD.EXE's for the day-of-week of the Events and also have uploaded that to this echo. That requires you to hex-edit the executable. I should have the description somewhere. Another patch was to allow the continued use of the PCBoard v15.4 beta. That was uploaded by the main PCBoard programmer st Clark Development. That one also required the hex editing of the exe file. There are also third-party programs to correct the year entries in the Download.txt file. I have all the programs and text files saved on diskettes but couldn't at the moment find the patching instructions for the day-of-week. I did upgrade to v15.3 but had to go back to v15.22 because of a bug in the 15.3 release.
