FW>How is your hubby? Sorry to hear that the Red Heads eggs wereen't fertile.
FW>That is frustrating, isn't it? I thought the Moustache eggs weren't
ertile
FW>and instead of pitching eggs I'm handfeeding some chicks. It looks like
he
FW>Great Bills are going to nest. I hope that the chicks make it out of the
g
FW>this year.
I don't remember if I've already posted and bragged or not, but i
checked the Yellow Crowned Amazon's eggs and at least two are fertile,
with three eggs so far. The Mex Redheads' eggs might be fertile, too
early to tell for sure yet. Will check in a few days. I am gonna try to
move the BFA's today before they start breeding. They have been in a
2ft w X 4 ft h X 3 ft long cage with a boot box for two years. Not big
enough. Also not easily accessible for feeding when breeding. They eat
me up. I still have a half dollar sized scar on my stomach where the
male attacked me last summer while I was feeding them about two weeks
prior to his hen laying eggs. I am using cages that are about 4 1/2 ft
long right now for Amazons and two to three wide and about 3 1/2 high. A
couple pair are in 4 X 4 X 3 H cages.
I need to move them, put out and set up the pet napes Elton and Tequila,
and the start on the Orange Winged amazons. Two pr have never been set
up and two pr are but need to be moved to bigger cages and I have
problems with the two males anyway. Can't move the MRH's or the Yellow
Crowns this year now anyway as they are breeding. I also need to move my
Severe minis to a new cage and get a cage ready for my baby (1 y/o) pr
of Red Bellied macaws that I kept back from last year. They are such
pigs; they are going out SOON.
Just like the cats. Winters over --- out they go.
