        boats before I bought my Kelt a few years ago; very nice!
        The "problems" you mention don't seem to be insurmountable.
        dust in the bilge, while you're quite right about a source of
        mildew and such, can be removed and with its' removal goes the
        source of mildew!  Curtains?... are you handy with a sewing
        machine?  About an hour of measuring and sewing ought to do it
        (and that includes having the requisite beer while doing the
        job).  The other stuff all seems minor and stuff you can "get
        to" at your convenience.  Primary thing is the boat is sound and
        you like it.... and a good price, too, is a bonus!
