My dad was a Flight Engineer on Halifax IIIs. He had been an
Observer/Airgunner with the RAuxAF 130-1934, but didn't want to end up
in a turret inhis mid thirties.
 
I followed the family tradition and was a Navigator/Bombaimer on
Canberras, my final tour was as Station Bombing Office at RAF Scampton
back in the Vulcan days.
