>>> David Martorana on "Falling Sky"
DM> I was just assuming science would be around in 2100 doing its
DM> thing (unknowably good, bad or other).
That's just one assumption, mine another.
As for solving problems,
DM> Nature seems satisfied *ENOUGH* with our progress along
DM> whatever unknown agendas *might* be active; and not (yet) hurried
DM> to zap any "ineptitudes" with newer guidance to aid our thinking
DM> journey.
The process is called trial and error.
Also what you CALL "ineptitude" might be a BEST way.
DM> YOU don't have the foggiest notion of what your "ineptitude"
DM> claim would effect "long term", and your short term take is as
DM> subject to contentions as anything nudged about.!
It depends upon your view point. Is the mouse caught by a trap inept?
DM> I might inquire what you suggest as replacing the "political",
DM> "capitalistic" and "science" with? Share with us your GIANT candle
DM> of "EPTITUDE" ?
What ever may be, may be. Nature allows the inept to be replaced. It
doesn't make the replacement, it just allows whatever wishes to use the
vacant nitch, to be the replacer. If the replacement is inept, it too will
be replaced.
DM> ...a bad seed during one phase' of being could be a good seed during
DM> another phase, and v-versa. ....ALL is very relative...............
Hitler was considered bad but a genius like him would be the exalted hero of
a severely over populated planet.
DM> As most all of the new science techniques are available within the
DM> knowledge base of the planet, we might ??? assume genetic
DM> manipulation a normal-ish evolutionary outcome. If otherwise?
DM> ..........then otherwise!
Artificial insemination is distinguished from natural insemination.
WE> Do you think that DNA from Einstein's pickled brained, that he
WE> donated to science, could be revitalized?
DM> Probably could, but I don't know any point of it beyond research.
Maybe the reincarnated Einsteins would find a flaw in the theory of
relativity that would allow us to travel to distant stars faster than the
speed of light. -)
