Hm.. looked at the manual for my deck (Clarion DRB4275 CD head unit)... it
claims 30x4 PEAK, 18x4 RMS, at 1% THD :( I thought my amp had high
distortion (the amps I've been looking at claim anywhere from 0.1% down to
0.01% THD)

Oddly.. a lot of people keep trying to talk me into putting 6x9's in for rear

Not ALWAYS. In mine, I have Alpine 6.5's bolted into the factory (door)
locations. Though not really by choice :) I might wind up making some
cutouts in the front bottom corners of the doors for them so they'd be by the
floor. Though I do have my tweeters mounted on the kickpanels.
