I have been running on cable with a 3Com (PCI card) NIC for a year
into a 4 port router. It is the first adapter in MPTS (0-IBM TCPIP).

I have a good Epox mb that has a VIA onboard VT6103 NIC. Thanks
to Vic Green I got the OS/2 driver that I installed as second adapter
in MPTS (1-IBM TCPIP).

I would like to leave both NICs installed and running....so I set up
TCPIP Configuration Network as Lan 0 = 3COM and Lan 1 = VIA.
Both are enabled manually using the same IP address, Routing and
Host Names.

Only the adapter (3Com) (Lan 0) works...not both. If I reverse the
adapter order in MPTS putting the VIA adapter first, then the VIA
works OK too, but not both.

So, is this possible? 2 NICs, both live, using the same IP address
into a router.

Maybe I'm trying to do the undooable....as usual. (BG) TIA>
