I just couldn't ever get a nice finish on it. I'm not sure if there is some
chemical reaction happening or what....just my experience.
I prefer using something that absorbs the water/decoupage mix. Paper mache
is my favorite, but natural materials like wood and wicker give excellent
results too. The good thing about working on metal is that you can easily
slide the images around on the surface. The hard thing is they stay pretty
"mobile" and I like to continue working, so I want the images I put down to
stay put :-)
