subject: Check For File How?

I have to take a group of file names and check for existance as well as
verify non zero length. DosFindFirst/Next could do this but there is a
chance that wild card characters could slip in and I need exact file
name matches.

Which would be better

   Use DosOpen and DosQueryFileInfo

Use DosFindFirst/Next and scan filenames for wildcard characters.

Sorry for the simple questions, I am new at this.

Thx,
John
