As Laura Thomas was saying to All:
LT> I haven't made a memory book yet. My girlfriend sells them. They
LT> start with the cardboard album. Then you use padding and glue material
LT> to it. You can embellish it with just about anything. Donna made a
LT> baby album and used a favorite outfit for the cover. It was ADORABLE.
LT> Most of the craft stores in St Pete have the insert pages. They have
LT> all kinds of things (sports, flowers, baby stuff, holidays) to use. I
LT> will send a more detailed craft sheet. I have to go to Enterprise art
LT> and get it.
There are a lot of different memory book types out
there. I know they have gotten really popular of late.
When my grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary, I had a photograph graphed into x-stich
(when it was done it looked like an oil painting..I've
done several of these) then my mom soft covered a notebook,
framing the picture and then put letters into it.
When I did a memory book it was a lot easier. I did
cover the book. But I used stickers around the articles,
of flowers and teddybears at the time, and left it at
that. Didn't have the energy to do any more than that
because I had already spent quite a bit of money on
the project and although my brother, sister, and dad
helped I ended up paying the most of it.
It was worth it though.
