6. SCORING
The low-point Scoring System (IYRR Appendix B2) will be used.
There will be on throw out permitted if five (5) or more races
are sailed. Six races are scheduled, of which one or more will
constitute a series.
7. COURSES: Olympic Triangular or Gold-Cup Courses will be
used.
8. ALTERNATIVE PENALTIES:
The 720 degrees turns penalty (IYRR Appendix B1) will apply.
9. SAFETY
9.1 While on the water, all competitors must wear P.F.D.
approved by Transport Canada or by the competitor's own national
authority.
9.2 No competitor may leave the dock until the safety boats
are on station and the Dockmaster gives the approval to proceed
to the race course.
9.3 Before each race, all skippers are to call out their sail
number while sailing on starboard tack past the stern of the Race
Committee "RC" vessel. Failure to do so will result in a score of
DNS (Did Not Start).
9.4 Any competitor leaving the race course must first inform
the race committee or safety boat personnel, or if this is not
possible, advise the dock captain upon arrival ashore. Failure to
do so will result in a score of DNC (Did Not Compete)
10. PRIZES:
Prizes will be awarded with the goal of every competitor getting
something. Medallions will be award for First Place Finishers in
each fleet.

12:15 lunch on the water
12:45 Second race Day 1
14: 30 Third race Day 1
16:30 - 18:00 BBQ for racers (small charge for families and
friends)
Sunday August 25
8:30 - 9:30 Boat rigging
10:00 First race Day 2
11:30 lunch on the water
12:00 Second race Day 2
13:45 Third race Day 2
16:00 Awards presentation
12. ACCOMMODATION and MEALS:
There is camping available on the site within the club compound,
showers and washroom facilities are accessible from within the
compound and an electronic combination controls the access gate
to the compound, check with race officials for late entry through
this gate
Note: there are no vehicles allowed in the Dry sail area,
Hotel and Motel accommodations are available in the Bells Corners
area of Nepean, a 10 minute drive from the club:

Fast food alley runs between Barons and the Luxory with every
kind of food from MacDonalds to Al's Steak House. Groceries are
also available of Leob, Loblaws and Your Independent Grocers and
several specialty food outlets along the same Richmond/Robertson
roads (map will be available at registration)
At the club:
racers will be served lunch on the water both days,
there is a club Friday night BBQ open to all,
the OYSTR BBQ will be Saturday a 16:30 (free to racer, small
charge for others),some small snacks are available at the NSC
clubhouse bar.
