That's twice as good, Ack, but still too low for such sun-lovers as
tomatoes. :-) It's OK if also supplemented by 1. sunshine or
2.incandescent bulbs (not as close, because that's too much heat
on tender baby plants) or 3. very (make that VERY) shortterm times
until better arrangements can be made.
No matter how bright fluorescents seem to us, there is so much
difference between them and real sunshine that I have to provide
shading for lights-only seedlings when they first move into my
windows or into cold frames. It takes them a couple days to adjust
to more light, but you can see their response in that time. Stems
thicken, leaves darken, purplish tints appear, etc.
