Hi Jeff,
JJ> I don't have that one yet, though I used to have an old worn out LP of
JJ> it that disapeared with a room-mate in college. Never got to listen to
it
JJ> before he skipped out with about $500 worth of LP's and CD's (according
to
JJ> the pawn shops I found them at later.) What a drag. Included my much
JJ> beloved 801 LIVE cd with Eno and others on it....
JJ> haven't seen it anywhere
JJ> in years, might be out of print.
JJ>
Man I hear stories like that all the time and I never loose compasion
to those that it happens too. I know that I would be crushed if I lost all of
my music collection.
MM> The Double Trio is very complex but isn't complexity some of
MM> the appeal of KC?
JJ> Yes, and of course you are completely right. I adore
JJ> the double bass/chapman
JJ> stick but the drums.... In my opinion Bill Bruford is so fantastic that
JJ> I'd rather just hear him and not deal with two drummers going in and out
JJ> of synch. Kind of like how I'd love to be able to take all the
JJ> instrumentation apart on a RUSH album and just hear the bass or drums.
I agree sometimes the Double Trio does get too complex. And I wish sometimes
that they'd only use Pat or only use Bill. The bass and the chapman I never
get tired of however. I"d rather listen to Fripp then Belew too. However
beggers can't be choosers and KC is better then no KC.
