Ye Publique Notice:
I will entertain nominations for a new Moderator to replace me, probably 
later in the summer of 1997.  I have a person in mind, but since there is no 
urgency, I'll consider all intelligently worded nominations.  If you nominate 
someone, be sure the person is willing to accept the position, if appointed.
If you wish to volunteer yourself for the position, please do so in PRIVATE 
by netmail to me at 1:202/731 or e-mail to  bcheek@san.rr.com   and include a 
brief statement of your qualifications and experience.
My plans are to turn over the reins of Moderator of the SCANRADIO echo to 
someone else later this year, probably in the June/July/August time frame.
At the present time, I intend to appoint a successor, but if there is a good 
field of qualified candidates, I may choose to hold an election.
This topic is hereby open for discussion so long as there are no flames, 
personal attacks, or undue emotional diatribes.
