yeah..  Accessing things directly is a Dos trick.. and can cause problems
with a higher level system..

I believe that SpeedPascal uses the 32-bit DOS apis, While VP uses the
16-Bit DOS api's. i'm not certain tho. I believe the only place where there
is a diff between SP & VP's apis are in DOS, Because OS2 has 2 diffrent
versions of the dos api.
