   I guess it changed from when I remember first using it.  Maybe it was =
REGSVR not REGSVR32 that I'm remembering.

  On my system (xp sp1) it supresses both.  It even supresses it if the =
file=20
  is not even a valid DLL. Try doing this:

     echo xyz > xyz.dll
     regsvr32 xyz.dll /s

  Then try it without the /s.
