MR> Damn! I am green though. I forgot most everything and It is going to MR> be a bear to get running again. especially when I never had it running MR> telnet. On a few tests I notice if I drop to a door and then rteturn MR> to PCB. I lose everything and get a bunch of garble on my screen. I MR> assume it has something to do with the fossil, but am not sure.. I was / am in the same boat you are. :-) The last time I ran a BBS was in 1990/91 in Orlando. What are you using as the telnet server? I'm NetFoss 1.0 and its Net2BBS telnet server. Freeware and works very well. The only issue that I've seen is that NetFoss is not a COM port emulator (like, say, NetSerial) and any door that needs a COM port to work (Qmail, MarkMail,Cam-Mail, etc.) doesn't work under my configuration. If I spend the $25 for NetSerial (sysop price), then NetSerial provides the COMport emulation and those doors and others will work (and you don't need NetFossif you're using NetSerial). I thought about paying the $25 and still might but the problem is that I have MarkMail and Qmail both registered already (and found my KEY files for them) but not Cam-Gold (and I really want to get the Cam-Blue - Bluewave - door working on my BBS. BlueWave 4.01 is giving me grief. :-) Are you just using the internal routines for QWK packets for the time being? --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 02-1000* Origin: The BABBLE BBS * Tucson * babblebbs.no-ip.org * (1:114/201) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/300 400 34/999 90/1 120/228 123/500 132/500 134/10 140/1 SEEN-BY: 222/2 226/0 236/150 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 SEEN-BY: 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 633/104 260 262 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2222/700 2320/100 2905/0 @PATH: 109/201 568 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
