Well, Like I said. Maybe the computer can't handle the higher baud rate..
It is almost impossible to use more than 19200 on a standard 500 without
running into troubles... My 1200 (030/882), should be able to handle the
57600, but it usually gave me problems.... That could mean that I have too
many things running in the background, etc etc... heaps of factors.. Or it
could even be the phonelines quality:)  Heaps of different probs to
concider.
