Could very well be.  I do not have Windows, or any other MS software,
installed here so comparison is impossible.  I am aware of only one person
in the immediate geographical area with a simular connection to the
internet, running Win98 with both Opera and IE residing on it.  He prefers
Opera but has simular complaints as I about rendering certain sites.  We
also are in agreement about size and speed issues.

That being said, text browsers will always win preferance on any machine
within my control.  If they didn't exist I doubt I'd be browsing unless I
were being paid to do so.  The only reason I did the comparison of GUI
browsers is the talk in this echo tweaked my curiousity.  I am no longer
curious.  :-)
