136-140Mhz Gas, Electricuty. water Boards 144-146Mxz 2m amateur Band
146-156Mhz Extensively used by Police

165-174Mhz PMR, Taxis, security, Ambulances etc

recently started up and I don't know where to look for what to listen to.
Also can anyone tell me the legal position of scanners in various countrys
including the UK
I am a taxi driver in Barrow In furness in England and our frequencies are as
follows.
Base 453.975 Mhz Mobile 460.475Mhz Duplex.
Occasionally especially on hot sunny days we pick up interference from other
users of these frequencies. I think one is in Lancaster/Morecambe/Blackpool
area and the other is in Liverpool or North wales.
Does anyone know of anyone using these frequencies in this area?
Questions questions questions...... I could go on but any information is
greatly appreciated.
What are community repeaters and who owns them. We were thinking of using
ne
at work to enhance our radio range but don't know how to go about it or how
much
it cost.
Finally for now. Does anyone have the frequencies and CTCSS tones for the
ew
low powered UHF Motorola hand helds.
