I don't think that Rex Conn inhabits this echo any more.  But if you still
aren't clear on what the problem is, here's a short example of how FFIND
doesn't handle wildcards correctly on non-DOS platforms (in this case Take
Command for OS/2 on OS/2 Warp):

[C:\]ver

Take Command for OS/2 2.01A   OS/2 Version is 4.00

[C:\]dir /a-d *s

 Volume in drive C is WARP           Serial number is 6C01:AB46
 Directory of  C:\*s

23-09-98  19:09           7,527           0  config.sys
28-12-95   9:31           1,381           0  info.config.sys
