| subject: | Win32/MFC OS/2 PM? |
I did a Win32 / MFC 4.0 program recently where I set up a modeless dialog box, and depending on the user input, read a disk data file and plugged the variable data into the various controls on the dialog box. I used something like the following to send a the contents of a buffer to a static control on the dialog: // ID_CONTROL is the resource ID of the control, buf[0] is the buffer ((CStatic *)GetDlgItem(ID_CONTROL))->SetWindowText(buf[0]); Excuse my confused descriptions, it's been a while since I've done any OS/2 PM programming and I may have used "Windows" terminology in trying to describe what I want to do... How would I go about doing something similar in an OS/2 PM program? ie: create a single "empty" dialog box in the resource script, and then, depending on the user's menu item selection, read a certain disk data file and plug it into the "empty" controls of the dialog box? I haven't really started researching (via FAQs, RTFM, etc.), but figured if I could get an idea on where to start looking, or pointers to existing source code examples (maybe a short "Hello World" style program), it'd save a bit of cyber-leg work. --- PPoint 2.00* Origin: ** Snake-Byte Incorporated ** (1:3819/128.103) SEEN-BY: 50/99 270/101 620/243 625/100 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 SEEN-BY: 711/955 712/407 515 624 628 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 3819/128 157 3615/50 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 934 |
