You should be able to find a lovebird or a cockatiel from a breeder for
well under $100 anywhere in the country. Call a couple vets and see if
there are any breeders or bird clubs in your area. Follow up with the
bird clubs, and ask for referrals to breeders of smaller birds. It
should not be difficult to find reasonable prices on handfed tiels,
lovebirds, or sometimes even budgies!
