subject: Apple slices

Hello Crafters!
I am trying to learn to dry apple and orange slices. For the apples,
I sliced them thin, then dipped them in lemon juice and layed them
on a cardboard to dry. I turn them every day so they'll dry on both
sides. Did the same with an orange except didn't dip it in juice.
Am I doing this right? How long is it suppossed to take for them to
get completely dried? What else can you dry like that?
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Wanda
