----- RMININET.TXT begins -----
What is RMiniNet!
RMiniNet is one of the oldest international networks
there is zone 900 there is renamed to a new network.
We support more than 150 conferences with over boards
throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, Taiwan,
New Zealand, South America, Eastern Europe, South Africa,
and the Middle East.
The activity level of our conferences produces between 1.5K
and 2000k of mail daily (the amount of mail you receive
daily of course depends on the number of conferences your
board relays daily.) Our topics range from product and
software support sponsored by authors, to current events,
political discussions, an on-line AA meeting, hardware
support such as USR, Ashton-Tate and Quarterdeck and we
also have small amounts of exchanged mail with Fido,
and Intelec to name a few.
RMiniNet have lot of Genealogy conferences there is the most
doing the Network, there is for the nodes and users there
are for family researching, the is there religions conferences
and some other conferences.
RMiniNet can feed by Binkp, E-mail/transx, Telnet QWK, FTP and
NNTP, by 2 system main is on a 64-bit Linux pc, the other system
is on a Intel Dual system make it to be a 6.8ghz system.
All system is running under a WAN systen under network
kofobbs.net.
We can in the future offer standard modems connections
together with Internet ftp and telnet availability, as
our NetHub, we offer more flexibilty for mail transfer.
In addition we offer the ability to receive public mail
via alternative routes, this arena for via Internet NNTP,
SMTP/POP3, FTP, BinkP and Telnet transfers.
Our software is specifically designed to handle this kind of
alternative mail transfers. We use the best networking
software available with mail turnaround times potentially of less
than 3 minutes!
We consider ourselves a social network, with an open
structure.
Our requirments for joining are small - an interest in
networking with other boards around the world, a
willingness to join in and help where necessary and
contribute to the conferences that YOU enjoy reading, ownership
of Postlink, QWK, NNTP, or FTSC software.
Because we have a wide spread regional hub system you are
probably fairly close to any one of our regional hubs
around the world. Each one of them would be more than happy
to provide you access as a node, or you can call a Super
Regional hub system directly if you choose to be a hub.
