WL> sell the surplus and recoup his costs, maybe even make a buck
WL> or two. That's what he did in this case.
TR> This is neat. Maybe when I get rich and famous, I'll be able to do
TR> the same thing. Of course, if I can buy and sell everything I want to,
TR> it'll be computer equipment, guns, and amateur radio gear. :-)
You're leaving out a few things -- houses (need a larger
computer room and ham shack, maybe even a basement shooting
range a la Tom Clancy), cellular phones (with cellular modems,
of course) cars (with heavy-duty electrical systems to power
cellular phone, notebook computer and ham rig for days at a
time), little goodies like that.
WL> I've seen a notice in this echo that V.90 code for some Couriers
WL> will be ready Monday, 3/23. I'll have to check the website
WL> again this afternoon.
TR> As you may have seen from me, I got mine early Sunday morning from the
TR> website. It does a fine job, too.
This bulletin just in! (Literally.) I've received a two-page
e-mail from Mark Goodman at 3COM; my X2 enable key and
instructions for upgrading to V.90. Haven't even had a chance
to perform the upgrade yet -- but I will as soon as I finish
reading this mail packet!
And, naturally, my ISP is still stuck with K56flex with no
idea just how soon they'll get their upgrades.
