Thanks Dustin, for that info..
I still have a few questions, if you don't mind. What I had originally
planned, was to avoid purchasing any sound card until I have more
familiarity with actual recording (ie..ready to make some money). To
start, I want to Mainly connect my keyboard via MIDI To my Mac. I DO
want to buy the most comprehensive Software (for the Mac) available for
under 1k that will give me the most flexibility to expand my system down
the road.
As a SINGLE software solution, how does Digital Performer (which seems
to be a Digital Audio/Midi Recording/Sequencer) compare to Digidesign's
Protools Software (which appears to have the same function)? Or do
these two programs actually complement eachother in some way?
I'm very serious about creating a viable small/expandable home
recording/multimedia studio. (although right now I just want to start
recording/sequencing my live performance via MIDI)
Thanks for your help!
