JR-> You really do not have a problem with Qmodem.  You have a problem with 
you
  -> understanding of how BBS echoes work.  First of all, if you can read the
  -> message of interest, your friend should also be able to read it.  There
  -> really is no need to "Forward" the message to him--within the same echo.
Well yes and no.  If the friend has not joined a conference, it is
possible he will never see it. (I would never look for a message if I
had to hunt for it.  Having the info forwarded would be much better.)
