I am sorry to have missed your phone call on sunday.

I was called out on Sunday about 15minutes before you rang.

And would you believe it Rained, the river rose 10 feet, and I could not

get home until 9pm monday night.



I watched a ten foot wall of water come down carrying a bullock, when it hit

the old wooden bridge the bullock was dumped on the bridge. Dazed and

staggering the bull got up on its feet then fell over the otherside of the

bridge, gone for good now I would say.



We have had 15inches of rain in the last 8 hours

Inisvail had 20inches in the last 24 hours



Disaster has struck (in more ways than one)



I also accidently formatted 2 * 1.6gig (stacked drives) near 6gig of files

gone. I had to scrounge a boot disk and terminate 3 to get this message out



Problem two, is that with all this rain, my perfect lines are for the moment

now down to 28800/26400 to dave drummond and 2800/28800 to another number in

Brisbane (with audible noise in the line and 217 errors on a 270k mail packet,

yet no block errors)  



If it fines up by say thursday (and I get my good lines back) then

 I will call your number some time.



You just cant beat stupidity or nature.
